The thing about Shadow is that it's original creator was great and it was always meant to be a gaming focused service, they ended up having to sell the company and this big cloud tech company called OVHCloud bought them out. Ever since then the service has gone downhill, I believe there's just no passion in OVHCloud and it doesn't help that they've been putting more effort into their terms of service than the actual service.

Can you do this again but using GOG games. They are DRM free and probably will work better. Also, with Steam, you can use the transfer game option in the storage menu. I would first download the game AND then transfer the game to disc. This may work better since Steam already has the files in place. Second, you can compress the games and then put the files on the disc and have it to where you install the game to the host using the backup disc. That would be something cool to see.

FWIW, I would have no problem finding a "worse graphics card". I might be able to find an old monochrome graphics card, or cga card from circa 1985 in my basement, but I know that I have some ega cards still in use from that era. I use Dos to power cash registers, and they are more than sufficient. In that era, you had to have a graphics card as there was never any graphics on the motherboard.

Maybe my lack of understanding is shining through.. but wouldn't things like the memory also matter in the performance? The CPU may be running at 100%, but is it truly chewing through data optimally if it is being fed in slow latency?
